CLÀSSIQUES BERGADÀ, restoration and tuning specialists of classic motorcycles.

Welcome to the web of CLÀSSIQUES BERGADÀ, specialists in the restoration and preparation of classic motorcycles

Since the beginning of the 70s of the last century, Albert Bergadà is dedicated to the mechanics of the competition motorcycle, especially Bultaco models, although the first integral preparation was carried out on a Montesa, with an Impala base and a factory 250 VR engine. During a brief interval of time, Albert Bergadà is dedicated to the practice of trials on the back of a Sherpa Kit Campeón, finally opts for the ascents in slope and the races of speed in circuit.

Towards 1977 he moved to London, soon began working in a recognized official agency Triumph, Harvey Owen ltd., Which by then already hosts Kawasaki as an Official Service, there are no import restrictions that prevail in Spain.

Albert thus manages to expand his knowledge of mechanics. Already integrated into the routine of Harwey Owen collaborates with the chief mechanic in the preparation of a Yamaha TZ 350; which was, for a Spaniard at that time, pure exoticism. The following year prepares the Kawasaki 400 of the dealer, who participates in the British single-championship championship, getting the first place in the final classification of it.

Back to Spain works for various workshops, the best known being the Official Agency BMW of Tarragona, led by José Mª Busquets, outstanding pilot and entrepreneur of the field, continue preparations for competition, the next being a Suzuki Moriwaki and then the very special BMW Michels, both endurance bikes, designed for the 24 Hours of Montjuïc.

In the middle of the 80 he founded his own workshop in Reus, there he prepared a Yamaha 900 courtesy of Folch Endurance for Juan Prous, Dennis Noyes and Juan Porcar, who will run the 24 hours of resistance of Montjuïc, obtaining a magnificent result.

From 1992 reorienta the approach of the workshop including the dedication to the classic motorcycle, attends fairs, salons and markets throughout Spain and various European countries. It is at this time when he meets Sammy Miller, living legend of the world trial, with whom he has been consolidating a great friendship and at the same time commercial relationship, and since then Clàssiques Bergadà distributes in our country the range of products created by Sammy that take their seal.

Sammy created a range of products with his seal and since then Clasiques Bergadà distributes them in our country.

Currently and due to the involvement in the classic trial are importers of REH products, high-end suspension equipment specific to classic bikes.

Later, Frederic Bergadà, his son, got into the company, thereby ensuring and consolidating the company’s continuity, thus allowing greater capacity in both the restoration and sale of related material. Frederic actively participates in classic trial competitions.

In the workshop division, two aspects are particularly distinguished: classic motorcycle restorations in general and particularly the work in competition preparations for “trial pre 65”. Highlighting the development of four-stroke models, a plot that remained somewhat empty in our country, compared to the high level of supply existing in preparations for two-stroke models.

At the end of 2010 we moved to our new and more extensive workshop and shop facilities in Rocafort de Queralt, where you are all very welcome. As Sammy Miller would say: “Square wheels!”
